100 Years of Memorial Park at the Heart of our Community
An exhibition by Marple Local History Society & Marple Library
The society has booked Marple Library and will be putting on an exhibition from Thursday 22 July until Saturday 30 July with the theme '100 Years of Memorial Park at the Heart of our Community’ to help celebrate the park’s special centenary milestone. The exhibition opens exactly 100 years after the dedication of the park on 22 July 1922.

One week to go for Memorial Park Exhibition
The exhibition by Marple Local History Society will open in exactly one week's time at Marple Library on the 100th anniversary of the dedication of Marple Memorial Park. The theme is "100 Year of Memorial Park at the Heart of our Community" and it will be open for viewing from 22 to 30 July during normal library open hours.

Happy Birthday Marple War Memorial Park!
Today is the 100th anniversary of Marple War Memorial Park being gifted to the community during a Dedication & Historical Pageant in memory of the men of Marple who fell during the Great War.
Today is also the start of an exhibition in Marple Library looking at the park's place in our community over the last 100 years that is open during normal library hours and runs until 30 July 2022:
Commemorative Booklet
A limited edition booklet (100 copies) has been created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the park.
Copies are currently available
The booklet is 32 pages of A4 on high quality silk paper and costs only £5 with all proceeds going to Friends of Marple Memorial Park. P&P costs are £2.50 within the UK.
