Hmm, another shop of it's type. I wonder how long that will last.

Off at a tangent - can anyone remind me - what was the name of the people who had the property as a stationery shop and newspapers? They also sold toys and Father Christmas (the real one of course) came every December, and held court upstairs in the toy department, while the electric train set ran round. I never realised that Santa was really the owner of the shop - no wonder I never got the pony I asked for every year.

Hmm, I think it will last a very long time. Dharmesh and Nidhi have been there quite a few years, they haven't just moved in and have a great reputation with the people who use the shop. They also rose to the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic and gave people what they needed when they needed it from a local source. I think they will reap the benefit of that and get the support they deserve. They have recently refurbished the shop as a Go Local, so there has been some change, but otherwise it is a well-established and successful business.

Thank you to Go-Local Marple News!

Dharmesh and Nidhi at Go Local - Marple News (Marple) swapped out their first full Friends of Marple Memorial Park collection box recently.

It was jam-packed with coins totalling exactly £31 donated to Friends of the Park by their generous customers.

Thank you Dharmesh and Nidhi and everyone who shops at Go-Local Marple News!
