Title: Garage clearout
Post by: shambles on July 31, 2019, 10:25:31 AM
I am trying to de-clutter my garage by getting rid of things I no longer need, but would be useful to someone else; electrical bits, hand tools, small electrical tools etc.

I hate to throw 'useful' things away and as the carnival committee no longer has a stall at the monthly car boot sale I'm looking for someone, or some place, that could make use of them.

I don't think charity shops would want this kind of thing.

Suggestions please.

I'm not a Facebook user myself, but if you are, you could look at "Marple Thrift Shop" (or Store...not quite sure). You can post pictures of what you have got and people can come to collect.

That's a good idea. If you are not a facebook user you can use Freegle to offer goods for collection. We've given quite a bit away using that

A group of us are hoping to set up a repair style cafe in Marple.  Dawn Sharples is the driving force behind this and she is keen to acquire tools for the project.  I'll send you a direct message with her email address as she isn't on this forum.

Many thanks
