Post by: admin on June 17, 2019, 06:18:17 AM
Calling all local artists.

Are you interested in taking part in a Marple Themed Art Exhibition later on in the year?

The exhibition will run from 4th to 9th Nov.

All exhibits must be Marple related (which includes Marple Bridge, Mellor, Compstall etc).

The exhibition will be manned with free entry for all and no charge to exhibit.

The exhibition is being organised by the Marple Poppy Appeal Team but we stress the exhibits are to be about the Marple area and not the Poppy Appeal.

Styles can be from Monet to Picasso or whatever takes your fancy.

If you are interested or would like more information please email poppyappeal@marple-uk.com

Here are a few local paintings from the Virtual Tour that may give some inspiration:

The Art Exhibition in Marple Library supporting the Marple Poppy Appeal launches today!

Poppy Appeal Team leader Kevin says: "There is a fantastic selection on show. We are so lucky to have such talented artists in Marple. If you want a Christmas present for somebody special, or just want to treat yourself, then come along and have a look. You won't be disappointed."

The exhibition runs until Saturday 9th November and is open during staffed library hours (not accessible during Open+)
