This thread is for the latest meetings and events of Marple and District WI.

Marple & District WI is a lively WI on the edge of the Peak District.
They currently have 77 members. They have a few visitor spaces at each of their monthly meetings, so if you'd like to attend, do send them an email and they'll add you to the list.
The monthly meeting is on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Hawk Green Cricket Club, 7.30 pm for 8.00 pm.
They also have six sub groups - Day Walking Group, Evening Walking Group in the summer, Craft Group, Book Group, Gardening Group, Coffee & Lunch Group, and a programme of outings.

16 FEBRUARY: Peter Turner - Magician
16 MARCH: Potters Village, Kisoro Uganda - Child Crisis & Medical Centre
20 APRIL: How We Bared All - Val Jones, Titherington WI
18 MAY: Elizabeth Bishop - Florist
15 JUNE: Tracey McGuiness - Artist
20 JULY: Rabbits & Ferrets - Beth Web
07 AUGUST: No meeting
21 SEPTEMBER: The Life and Times of a Busker
19 OCTOBER: Mountain Rescue - Amanda Howlett
16 NOVEMBER: Yoga Therapy and Annual Meeting
21 DECEMBER: Christmas Social
We also have the following subgroups: -
BOOK GROUP - meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 8.00 pm.
DAY WALKING GROUP – meets on the second and fourth Friday of the month at 9.30 am.
EVENING WALKING GROUP – meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6.30 pm
GARDENING GROUP - meetings as and when
CRAFT GROUP – meets on the second Monday of the month at 7.30 pm at The Marple Tavern
COFFEE AND LUNCH GROUP - alternate Fridays to the Walking Group, alternating Coffee and Lunch meetings.
