Please note that the Marple Bridge Association has applied for permission from SMBC to close Town Street, Marple Bridge on 25th June 2017 in order to hold the MBA Annual Summer Street Party.
The road will be closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the event and diversions will be in place to allow access to New Mills, Mellor and Mill Brow. Businesses in these areas will be open as usual.
Traffic should use Hogarth Road, Constable Drive and Hollins Lane, and vice versa, as a detour around Town Street.
Stewards will be on duty to assist emergency services and pedestrians who wish to access properties and businesses on Town Street.
