Title: satellite observing-naked eye
Post by: on June 06, 2005, 07:28:04 PM
if my calcs are right there should be a bright iridium satellite flare around 21:17 to the northeast-my site has a starchart showing the position. (follow iridium link from satellites visible from marple), it may be visible naked eye at 21:17 but sun will just be setting so you need to use the chart to see where it is - the chart shows it as a white circle-in reality it will only be a pinpoint!

despite a bit haze the iridium satellite flare was easy to see, a bright spot of light for a few seconds-even in a light blue sky. It would have been very cool if properly dark. Anyone else see it?
