Friends of Marple Memorial Park are holding a Skatepark Jam at Marple Carnival on Saturday 18 June. We're encouraging skatepark users to get involved by getting family and friends to sponsor them for taking part. We've created a Fundraising page to explain more about this and where people can sponsor or donate on-line.

Anyone who wants to support the project can also do their own fund-raising activities at any time to help us. You can set up your own Fundraiser page too if you wish.
The target of £293 we've set for this event is the amount we need to raise to get below £10,000 to go. Of course we'd love to raise more but it will be great to break through that £10k barrier!

On the eve of #GiveMe5 and just before our Marathon Skatepark Jam at Marple Carnival on Saturday we're delighted to advise that Stockport Homes has awarded us a third £1,000 Community Count Grant to add to those received in 2013 and 2015.
We've updated the Skatepark Project page on the Friends of the Park web site to reflect this and also our Crowd Funding Appeal page at local Giving.

The latest figures mean that we now only need to raise a further £10,293 to reach our £100,000 total budget. This time last year we still needed over £54,240, so we've come a fantastically long way in the last 12 months.
Although it would be great to raise more, we've set ourselves a target of £293 at the Skatepark Jam over the weekend as this will get us below £10,000 to go and into 4 figures at last.
