Steam train coming through Marple 9 May picks up romiley 8.10 morning on way to Scarborough .

The tour is called the East Yorkshire man

Hope we can have mr Procter out with  his camera on that day ,his pictures will be a lot better than the ones I take .

I'll be tempted to go and wave to it from the Bridge in "Railway Children" style, like I used to when I was a toddler.

I wonder if the local primary schools know about this? To hell with the National Curriculum, this is something the little 'uns should see at least once in their lives.

The 9 May steam train trip was cancelled but it passed through Marple Station bang on time yesterday and several photos by Arthur and me have been uploaded to the Virtual History Tour:
