Afternoon all
Many of you have already seen that the park at the end of Cromwell Avenue park is open. Not only has the new play equipment been installed but over the last 6-8 weeks it has been used by many children and families from around Marple and surrounding areas. This is great to see.
There is still work to be done but we want to celebrate the park opening with an informal 'picnic in the park' on Sunday 28th September between 1-3pm.
This will be quite low key with a few activities - further news on this to follow over the next week or so.
It is more of a chance for us to say thanks to all those that have helped us get where we are today, from task days to funding - and do bring along some food and drink so we can have a truly family event and day that can be enjoyed by all.
And you can tell us what you want to see in the park in the future or maybe even join the team!
Cheers

Evening all
I know I sound like a broken record going on about Cromwell Avenue Park (again), but this is a final call for those wanting to have a fun picnic in the park this weekend - http://www.marple-uk.com/smf/index.php?topic=5819.0.
For those not living in the Rose Hill area not receiving a leaflet, we welcome you all between 1-3pm this Sunday (28th) of which the Mayor will formally open the park around 1.30, there'll be singers / buskers, the great footytotz team will be doing football skills from 1pm for children (boys and girls) of all ages, and whilst you can bring your own food and drink, there'll also be a BBQ too.
And it is not scheduled to rain (yet) either...

Well the sun certainly shone on the righteous yesterday! A lovely picnic in the park with lots of families having a good time together. The Friends of Cromwell Park deserved their sunny day. Well Done to them all again.
