Title: Web site detailing the demise of the middlewood way (train line)
Post by: Jay on August 06, 2014, 04:41:03 PM
Found a site that details disused stations and they've just included the Rose Hill to Macclesfield line. Some really good pictures of Rose Hill on there that I've never seen before. Go to http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/ (http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/) and scroll down to the new additions (big yellow box) and down at the bottom you will see the stations from the middlewood way, including Rose Hill.

Interesting. I remember being taken to Rose Hill station "to look at the trains" when I was a very little girl around 1951/2. It was my favourite walk and regularly indulged by an ancient great aunt. I've loved steam trains ever since.
