Title: Lock No.7 - what is going on?
Post by: Melancholyflower on April 15, 2014, 09:05:46 PM
Regarding the still-to-be-repaired landslip into the canal and 'temporary' road diversion at lock No 7 at the bottom of Grosvenor Rd footpath...
Does anyone know what the situation is with this?

I've lived nearby for 2 years now and for most of that time this has been a feature of my journey to the railway station every morning.
The road is severely potholed, floods regularly, and the path over the bridge is permanently muddy.
Is this a result of the canal issue, or terrible rains last year, or what?

Presumably Canal and River Trust are the people to talk to re getting it fixed?
