Can you help ?
Marple Local History Society(MLHS) are carrying out research for a forthcoming publication 'From Fields to Flowerbeds'. This will chart how the land from Brabyns to Marple Hall changed from farming to housing and industry.
As part of this work, the Society are keen to learn the builder of and the year in which Marple Hall Drive and the Turnpike were constructed.
Any information on this would be gratefully received.
The Society are hosting an exhibition 'From Fields to Flowerbeds' at St Martin's Church during the Heritage week-end.
