Fact and Fun at the Roman Lakes with Mellor Archaeological Trust and Friends of Our Valley:
AT THE MILL SITE: See the latest excavations: tours of the three areas of Samuel Oldknow's industrial and domestic complex.
AT THE ROMAN LAKES LEISURE PARK: RLLP's famous refreshments. Hog Roast from 1-00 pm, beer tent.
Talks: Samuel Oldknow, entrepreneur and country gentleman, Workings of Mellor Mill.
Theatre: Workshop & rehearsal for Mary's Journey, a taster for next year's promenade performance by History Bound Theatre Co.
Videos: Cavers in the tunnels. Opening of Wellington wheelpit.

It was a really good do :). The sun shone, the hog roast and beer tent were great, the music was brilliant, exhibits from the mill restoration were interesting, and the guided tour was an eye-opener. Thanks and well done to all concerned.
