Title: Woman rescued 30 minutes after falling into River Goyt

Firefighters were called to Station Road in the Strines area of Marple in Stockport at 8.40pm last night after a number of calls from the public:

I'm glad they put that caption on the photo. I wasn't sure what it was.

She's lucky to be alive.  I was walking the dog along that stretch of the river an hour or so earlier on Wednesday, and the river was a swollen torrent after the rain - it must have been a terrifying experience!
