Title: Wal-Mart's business ethics
Post by: Cyberman on September 27, 2012, 11:53:29 PM
Came across this list of 101 business cock-ups on CNN’s website. Wal-Mart features 6 times, and I found particularly interesting their comment that the megaretailer “Should displace its urban corner-store competition”. The list’s from 2007 but I’m sure nothings changed. Wal-Mart’s other examples are items 1, 35,54, 73 and 86 on the list. The article is here – quite funny, worth reading.

When considering whether Asda will make a good neighbour here, I hope people will remember that they are not dealing with a cuddly Yorkshire retailer, but possibly the most ruthless corporation on the planet.
