A simple question that I can't answer. Maybe one of you Marple residents knows.... Is Marple a smoke-free zone, that is, are we allowed to burn coal in our fires?

Yes you can burn coal in Marple.

My own enquiries indicate that you can in some parts of Marple, but not in others. For example - I'm told that on Woodville Drive, where I live, that you can't!
It has been suggested to me that the best way to find out for sure is to order some coal - apparently the coal merchant will know where ordinary coal can be used and where it cannot.
Hope this is useful advice...........

Did think some parts of marple were smoke free! and wished that others were as well
