Title: Possible closure of Marple Library

Having just looked at Stockport Councils website regarding some planning issues I have under application, there is an article hidden in the depths of the site that relate to the possible closure of the Library in Marple as part of the LA'S efforts to save money accross the borough.  There is public meeting that is planned for next Wednesday at 7pm at the Library.  Please let as many people know so we can get get strong public support to fight the council on this very serious threat to our community. Enough is enough, they have taken our flower beds they are not taking our libary. :'(

Struggling to find it Dave! A search for spending cuts doesn't bring it up.

Can you copy and paste the link from the address bar of your browser when you're looking at the page?

The date is April 1st ! Does this have some bearing on the proposed closure ?

In the current climate, I thought it was an April Fool in very poor taste. Let's hope it doesn't come true.

Chill out Marveld, there's no chance of closing it with the strong community of Marple.
