I thought I was decided on this one; firmly in the yes camp. However since Clegg seems to have sold so many of his promises for a ministerial car I may have changed my mind!
Granted AV is a pretty poor voting system, not really any fairer that the current FPTP set up, but at least it is a step in the right [or left] direction. I think looking at the voting results for our constituency there wouldn’t have been any difference (no scientific calculations carried out, just looked at majority)
So now I'm really confused.
Do I vote no – the primary reason to punish Clegg and try and put the coalition into a spin.
Or Yes – and get a slight change to the voting system which won’t really achieve anything and is a ‘miserable compromise’
Let’s be clear, if it was PR or even AV+ it would be a definite yes. Hell, even if the Liberals hadn’t have formed a coalition I may have voted yes because I would have assumed they were a centre left party and having them in a place or responsibility could / would have been a good thing.
So which is it?

Like you Andy, I'm a bit dazed and confused by this issue, although at the moment inclined to vote yes.
One thing I'm sure about though: there may be several good reasons for voting no, but this.......

A referendum is only called on really major long-term issues, such as changing the voting system. Nick Clegg is just a current politician - here today, gone tomorrow. You don't base strategic decisions on short-term issues.
