Does anyone know who owns the empty shop on Goyt Avenue, the one by the Hairdressers. It has been boarded up for a few years and looks an eyesore,I wish someone would do something with it. :o
-
the guy at the paper shop in hawk green owns it.

The guy who used to be at the paper shop owns it. I don't think the new owners do.Hawk Green residents association have tried in the past to have the council do something. There was a complaint of it being a fire risk as papers had built up behind the door.

I believe the shop on Goyt Avenue is in the hands of a leasing agent in Chorley. Ray.

Thank you all for your replies,I will get on to one of the local Councillors to see if the owner can be chased up. :)
-
What would you like to see the shop opened as? Given the proximity of the Newsagent on Upper Hibbert lane I can't see it re-opening as it was....
-
It would make a nice tea shop,bric a brac,cake shop, ;D
-
a cake shop wouldnt work as there is one on the goyt bridge
-
what about a shoe shop :)
-
A shoe shop is the one thing Marple is missing but I fear it's too far out of the way from the main precinct for it to work :-\

An ice cream shop would be ok. You could get your chippie tea and a pudding from next door but one.
