I agree - saw it this morning and it looks a complete mess.  Doesn't he have to have planning permission for something like that?

It would have thought so Stockport Smoking shelters guidelines .

But it seems that because it is on the 'beer garden' at the front he may be exempt.

I saw this for the first time on Saturday - I agree, it is appalling!  What on earth are the brewery thinking about allowing such a shanty to be attached to their pub.  Also, what a turn-off for customers having to walk past the 'snout-casts' (not my own invented word, but appropriate!;)  Its enough to put one off one's beer! :(

Yes, I take it all back.  And the food is good there too.   :D
