We have all seen the rubbish left inexplicably by visitors to beaches (Who are these people? The beaches weren't left like that before lockdown.) and I would like to draw the attention of the councillors who visit this forum to the overflowing bins in Brabyns Park. Please could they talk to the appropriate people at the council to get this problem sorted. Many thanks.

The simple answer is what you bring with you, you take away when you leave. Not hard really.

Someone once said that when out for the day;
Leave nothing behind and take nothing away except memories.

Please hold onto your rubbish if the bin is full!
Friends of Marple Memorial Park would like to thank Iris Kennedy (aged 9) for allowing us to use her inspirational poster about litter in Memorial Park.
This morning we've attached one to each bin (except the play areas, which we'll do when they reopen) and also popped copies in our notice boards.
Well done Iris, we get it too! Thank you!
I understand Iris is putting her posters up in Brabyns Park with Friends of Brabyns today.
