There's some sort of supply problem on Windlehurst Lane, causing most of Marple to be without water today.
United Utilities are aware and are investigating. They've setup water tanks on a few places in the area (eg corner of Constable Drive and Hollins Lane), so if you've a few buckets you can get some water there.
Co-op quickly sold out of all their bottled water as a result of the problems.
Anyone heard when it's due back on ?
Wonder if we'll get a rebate on our water bills?
Steve.

Apparently a big water main has broken. United Utilities have a message on their phone system saying that they hope to have it back on later tonight.

I rang 0845 746 2222 this morning and was told they are having problems repairing the damaged water pipe. She couldn't give me a day or time when the water would be back on.
I asked about compensation and was told you automatically get it.

Rang 'em myself, at 13:30. Water is now on in some Marple areas. Should be flowing freely throughout the place within the next 2 hours.
