Title: Arthur Thompson- Whalley to Marple
Post by: on April 10, 2005, 09:43:03 PM
I would be very grateful for any information on an Arthur Thompson, cotton manufacturer of a successful Lancashire cotton family who came to Marple some time after 1901. He was born in Whalley, Lancs. around 1870, father Richard, mother Eliza. I am researching this for his great-niece.
many thanks,
Elaine Jones

Hi Elaine
I hope you pass this way again - had computer blip and all information was lost (hence odd previous posting!;) but if you drop me a line (you can mail me via this site) I can give you information from the 1871 census which shows your family living in what looks to be Clitheroe road
