Title: new path

I must commend whoever laid down that tarmac on't canal path opposite Oldknow's Warehouse because that path was a guarantee of muddy boots! The lights are welcome also, subtle but effective.  Are there plans to smooth out the road parallel, the one linking Arkwright to Brabyns? It would be a big job but save lots of exhausts and car suspension damage!

Re the new Tarmac opposite Oldknows warehouse and the traffic lights. This is part of Stockport's Cycling Officer's plan to create a safe and convenient route via the Memorial Park down to the Station where cycle lockers etc could cut down the number of cars trying to access the station.  It will also help some pupils attending Marple Hall School.
