does anyone else feel Marple, as a place, has more 'characters' than elsewhere? You know, people who children stare at, people with very interesting traits, 'individuals' if you like...
-
I would hope orangewhip, that my children would not stare at anybody, they have been taught that everyone is individual, regardless of what they look like, they have been taught that sometimes people behave differently because sometimes they are ill, and that sometimes people are different just because that is the way they choose to be, or it is just something (like a fashion, i.e goths, punks) that they like to follow. Im sure that if you lived somewhere else, you could probably say the same thing, you get different characters in all walks of life, not just in Marple. So, no I dont think Marple has more than the average "Characters", and no, my children dont stare at anyone different, hopefully I have taught them not to be so shallow as to notice!

Well!!! That was a bit of a response to a lighthearted question?
It's good to know however that children these days are taught values.
I think we have some great characters in Marple not that I'm saying that I laugh, (or heaven forbid STARE) at them, just smile to myself at their 'individualism'!!! Long may it continue thus.

my question was fully intended to be light-hearted, I retract the bit about kids staring though. I think it is something that Marple ought to celebrate, the uniqueness of some of its residents; think of it without these folk, they are as much a part of the cultural milieu as the Co-op, the canal or the construction of flats!

Didnt mean to sound "Snooty"
Glad you retracted you "Children staring" bit though, I do understand that the matter was meant in a light hearted way

Yes we certainly to have some characters, my choice would be
"little Bernard" and his " special brew"
-
Now, let me tell you, I found out who the Identity of "Alan at marple", is, what a handsome devil he is, a real dish!, he would be my "Most Gorgeous" character, and my best pal would like him as a Sugar Daddy!!!
-
I see alan@marple around town I agree he is a dish,
There are lots of characters in and around Marple, all unique in every way, shape and form.

As long as it's him that's 'a dish' and he leaves my egg alone, I'll be back for it as soon as I remember where I left it, (it's not easy having no sense of direction when you are supposed to be good at it)!!! Honestly, you lot have really got it in for us pigeons.
