Title: Scouting in Mellor

Is anyone aware what the outcome was over the decision to close 1st Mellor & Marple Bridge Scout group?

By all accounts if they hadn't got 3 new helpers by August then the closure would happen.

Well I guess although there were 102 viewings of this thread there were no comments so I presume this means that nobody has any idea what will happen to the group.

For anyone who is interested you may like to know that the 1st Mellor & Marple Bridge Scout Group is/was classified as a 'Founding' group, which means that it was one one of the very first units to be formed following the setting up of the Scouting Organisation!
