Title: Sally Brown's Old Shop in Marple Bridge

The shop has been up for sale for a long time - as I went past this morning, it was in the process of being demolished.

It's a grand old building in the middle of the village, and I suspect in the MB conservation area.  Does anyone know what's being built in its place? I've not seen any signs up applying for planning permission for anything.

I noticed the scaffolding when I passed last week. I'm shocked to hear that it is being demolished. Will be very strange it not being there  :-[

The builder who is working on the old studio did some work for us.  He told us that he is working to strict planning guidelines as it is in a conservation area.  It does look alarming though.  Perhaps there is a lot of rotten timbers, falling down walls that need sorting.

Can you find details of Gothic farm on compstall road that all so appears to be being pulled down

Well work is proceeding on.

Apparently it's going to be offices and a flat - hope it looks good when it's done.
