With a general election coming up in the next six months or so, maybe it's a good time to find out how our elected representative actually represents us - both on major issues (such as climate change and the Iraq war) and relatively minor ones (such as smoking and hunting).
This site has a summary: http://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/andrew_stunell/hazel_grove
I have extracted this bit, which is quite interesting:
How Andrew Stunell voted on key issues since 2001:
Voted moderately for a transparent Parliament.
Voted moderately for introducing a smoking ban.
Voted very strongly against introducing ID cards.
Voted very strongly against introducing foundation hospitals.
Voted strongly against introducing student top-up fees.
Voted strongly against Labour's anti-terrorism laws.
Voted very strongly against the Iraq war.
Voted very strongly for an investigation into the Iraq war.
Voted very strongly against replacing Trident.
Voted very strongly for the hunting ban.
Voted very strongly for equal gay rights.
Voted very strongly for laws to stop climate change.
You'll have to visit the site to find out how they arrive at all the 'moderately' and 'strongly' descriptions.
