Title: Best bank branch in Marple?
Post by: elpram on November 11, 2008, 11:37:35 AM
I bank with Lloyds but as they have no branch here, I'm wanting to open a current account with one that does.

Which bank do you recommend for opening hours, friendliness of staff, efficiency etc.?

I bank with the HSBC, and the staff are excellent, however with their new opening hours I could not recommend them. My wife banks with RBoS and they are open longer and you can actually phone the branch and talk to someone local so they would get my vote.

I bank with Barclays and my biggest gripe is you can NEVER speak to a branch. I am able to speak with numerous people Worldwide though, studying our language in English classes (or do they call them call centres)  ???  :-[

I've been with the Nat West since 1980 and have no complaints about them, many of the staff are local which gives a "family friendly" feel to the branch. Mary is a particularly lovely lady and always very helpful.
