We have created a new page about Matthew Walker, the Marple Swimmer who has recently added a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games to his haul of gold and two silver in the Paralympics in Athens.

We've also erected a banner at Marple Swimming Pool to welcome him home on Tuesday.

We've updated our page about Matthew to include details of his new World Record in the mulit-disability 50m Freestyle, set on Wednesday 5th April. This performance would have won Gold in Melbourne and (obviously) gives Matt a qualifying time for the European Championships this summer. We wish him every success there and hope he can repeat this outstanding form.
