A better turnout raised £111.50 for the homeless last night, giving a two week total of £192. No such luck on the Higher and Lower though - tough cards!
The next two week's quizzes will be run by Lucky Eddie for the Inner Circle, who will be donating proceedings to Asthma and Diabetes charities.

Catching up on the quiz night fund raising, £196 was raised for the inner circle (£110 and £86) during the two quizzes run by Lucky Eddie and last week £101.50 was raised for the Greyhound Trust.
Next week is for the Greyhounds again.

The Greyhound Trust did well this week with £101.55 raised by the quiz plus £50 donated by the winner of the £100 Higher and Lower Jackpot prize. That's £253 in two weeks!
Next week it's Mellor and Ludworth Cubs to benefit.

The quiz raised £114.50 for Guides to India, plus the winner of the Higher & Lower Game donated £40 of his £100 Jackpot to the cause too, giving them a very respectable £150.50!
Send more guides to India next Wednesday night, same time, same place.

Another £104 was raised for the Guides to India last night, giving them a grand total of £254.50 over two weeks.
The next two quiz nights will raise sponsorship for local man Steve Jones (registered as "jogger" in the forum) who will be running the London Marathon to raise money for The British Heart Foundation this weekend.
You can watch Steve and all the other runners from the comfort of your armchair on TV on Sunday and you can still sponsor him on-line at http://www.justgiving.com/stephen-jones
The quiz starts at 9pm on Wednesday but be there early to be sure of a seat!

The Scouts are £80.50 better off after last night's quiz, despite a poor turnout on their part. Next week is expected to be pretty quiet due to United and Chelsea but if you want to avoid the football then the Ringers is the place to be next Wednesday evening.

Typical of the Reds to spoil a good night! Only 6 teams turned up for this weeks quiz (a total of 21 people), far and away the worst attendance since we began the quizzes around 8 years ago!!!! Whilst the rest of you enjoyed the football, the centenary scout camp benefitted from the measley £31 raised. Add this to last weeks £80.50 and they make £111.50 in total. What you call unlucky timing. Next week is in aid of Help The Aged so hopefully a more normal turnout.
