Catching up with Quizzes while the board has been down, on 30th November £93 was raised for the Iron Bridge Restoration Project, thank you folks!

On Wednesday 7th December - with the Ringers absolutely heaving - £130 was raised for Otterspool Animal Sanctuary.

Next week's quiz on Wednesday 14th is the second in a row for this popular charity, so get there early if you want a seat!

Another long play it to a finish on the H&L (36 tickets) helped the Riding for the Disabled team earn £102.50 which over the two weeks adds up to £201 for their cause.

The good ol' Iron Bridge Restoration Project is next weeks cause.

After my Faux pas recently it really was in aid of Riding for the disabled this week!! The quiz & H&L raised £98.50 which hopefully will be added to next week.

The H&L wasn't won and as a result next week we will be playing to a conclusion!!! Somebody is guaranteed to take home £100.

I missed the first of the two quizzes for the Borchardt Unit in Pendlebury Hospital but I'm pleased to report that a total of £166.50 was raised over the two nights.

The £100 Jackpot was won the week before last, when played 'til the death, and this week £30 was won for completing the top line.

Next week's quiz is the regular monthly one for the Iron Bridge Restoration Project.

A change of charity - last night's quiz was for the Poppy Appeal - which benefitted to the tune of £98. Next week will also be the Poppy Appeal and then it'll be Riding for the Disabled the week after.

No luck for anyone on the Higher and Lower this week.

Great quiz for the Iron Bridge last night with £98.50 raised. The Higher and Lower Jackpot wasn't won, despite one particularly exciting game!

The next two quizzes will be for Riding for the Disabled.

Another good quiz for Mellor & Marple Bridge Scouts, raising £105 and taking their two week total to £206.

The Higher and Lower Game wasn't won, so at next week's quiz, which is for the Borch Unit in Pendlebury Hospital, it will be played to a conclusion again - someone will win £100 unless every ticket is drawn without a winner!

Thank goodness Eddy was quizmaster last night - it stopped him winning the H&L again! Stopped me too, even though my ticket was drawn  '<img'>

£101 was raised for Mellor and Marple Bridge Scouts and hopefully a similar amount next week at their second quiz.

£86.50 was added to the Iron Bridge Restoration Project fund on Wednesday night - look out for a big update on the main site in the near future on the Iron Bridge Project!

£30 was won on the Higher and Lower AGAIN by Eddy - that's 3 times now!

The next two weeks quizzes will be for Mellor and Marple Bridge Scouts.

Another good quiz for the Mayor's Charities, raising a further £70 towards these causes. That makes a total of £145.50 over the two weeks.

No luck for anyone on the Higher and Lower again.

Next week it's the monthly Iron Bridge quiz.

A little quieter last Wednesday for the first Mayor's Charity Quiz but it still managed to raise £75.50. Those of you who stayed in to watch the football would have had more fun at the Ringers!

£30 was won again on the Higher and Lower top line but no luck on the jackpot prize, which will be the usual £100 next week.

The next quiz will be for the Mayor's Charities again, which are not as reported below last week (that was out of date info from the Stockport web site! ) they are:

During her Mayoral year the Mayor will support two charities, Stockport’s  Alzheimer’s Society - to help its development, and Stockport’s Stepping Hill Hospital’s Charity Trust - to provide additional heart monitoring equipment for the new Cardiac Unit.

Another good turn-out for the second Friends of Memorial Park Quiz with £105.50 raised, taking the two-week total to 199.50!

£30 was won on the Higher & Lower for getting to the end of the top line.

Next week the Mayor of Stockport's chosen Charities will benefit from the money raised. This year these are Stockport MS Society, Beechwood Cancer Care and St. Anne's Hospice.

The Higher and Lower Jackpot remained elusive once more but the funds of Friends of Marple Memorial Park benefitted to the tune of £94, which was pretty good going.

Next week will be for the Friends of the Park again.
