What a great idea.

I remember being disappointed in Andrew Stunnell when he wrote a rather whining article in the Stockport Times or Express (which is the free one?). He was indicating the awfulness of receiving volumes of mail and e-mail when he was picked out of the hat as one of the backbench MPs who could introduce a private member's bill. As a member of Friends of the Earth and one of his constituents, I had written to him to try and encourage him to bring in a Bill dealing with Corporate Responsibility. On that basis, I found the tone of his article rather offensive.

It would be a good idea to have a regular dialogue with him to see what he is doing! I have registered on the Hearfromyourmp site. '<img'>

A couple of very useful websites are up which track how MPs are behaving in the Commons, how they vote, registers of interests, expense claims etc. If you want to see what Andrew Sunnel is doing on your behalf then you can visit "theyworkforyou.com" at:
http://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/andrew_stunell/hazel_grove

You can also join in with other consituents to request feedback from your local MP at "hearfromyourmp.com" at the following site:
http://www.hearfromyourmp.com/about
Unfortunately, at the time of writing only 6 Hazel Grove constituents have signed up and at least 25 need to be registered to get updates.

Let's see some local democracy in action. We might even hear from him on those phone masts which have been exercising some of us recently.
