I thought they said it was originally an 18th century farmhouse, but perhaps we could ask the Marple Historical Society.  Bang goes my career as a journalist.

Does it Matter even if they were only 299 years old .
No but historical accuracy does.

I have recently visited the Fisherman's Table and would certainly recommend it.

The building has been renovated very well indeed and, most importantly, the food was delicious. My daughter tells me that the oysters were probably the best she has tasted, and everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. The staff are still finding their feet in some areas, but I'm sure all will be spot on in no time.

It's a very welcome addition to Marple's food options and I'm sure will be a great success.

Are you sure the property is 300 years old?

Or do you mean that the beams have been recycled from elsewhere?

I love the wood theme and the restored beams upstairs from at least 300 years ago.  I can also recommend the cooked oysters and halibut in particular.

I wish Jamie, chef Dave and all the team success in the venture.

Is it allowed to open if the application hasn't been decided ?.

You can breach planning laws as much as you like.  But if you do, don't complain when someone enforces them!

In all seriousness, I would presume they are now confident of getting the necessary approval.  And if they don't, well it's some money in the pocket that goes towards the outlay!

I haven't been myself but friends have and said the place looked great and the food was good, service was a little slow but early days yet and they are still finding thier feet. I will give it a try in the new year.

Good luck to them I'm sure it will be a success and its a plus for Marple.
