Good point Alan.  I think all horses should be made to wear nappies.  And cows too, when they are crossing the road to be milked.   '<img'>

I totally agree with the sentiments expressed concerning irresponsible dog owners, especial those who walk 25 ft in front of  the animal ensuring they don't turn round in case the doggy is pooing.

However is it acceptable for horses to do similar?, or is that different, I think all these "jockeys" should carry a bucket and spade.

Horsey, Horsey don't you plop

This really annoys me. I am a responsible dog owner and I ALWAYS pick up after my pooch. However, I often see other owners acting as if they hadn't noticed their dogs pooping and just walking on. I also see plastic bags just thrown into the bushes where owners have picked up in order to appear responsible but then chuck the bag away at the first opportunity when they can't be seen because they don't want to carry the bag to the next bin.

The council also has to take some of the blame here as we often see bins overflowing or not emptied often enough. We shouldn't give people the excuse...

denise has got a point, its disgusting, I live near the Middlewood way, the lack of dog pooh disposal bins near one entrance is disgusting, there was a bin, but it wasnt there last time i was there, oooooh  all them bags were dumped in one big pile.....yuk!!!  But apart from the owners who want to dispose of waste who cant, I cant walk down the new path without avoiding piles of pooh!! Yuk, people use that path as a public loo for pooches, and its disgusting, where are the  pooch police?'<img'>???

Yes you know who you are.  You own two West Highland Terriers and you were walking down the canal towards the aqueduct on Sunday 25th September.  One of your dogs pooed and because you were quite a way ahead of it I kindly pointed this out to you hoping you would pick up the mess.  But you just shrugged your shoulders and walked on.  Maybe you had forgotten the bags or didn't know that the Council kindly provided bags along the route.  But somehow I just think that you always behave in that fashion.  You weren't the least apologetic.

You give other dog owners a bad name.
