I went past it last week in the evening and it was closed at a time I recall the spar being open, have they also change their opening hours, or was it a one-off?

It's a McColl's, same group as the newsagent shop on Market Street next to Oldknows.
The transformation is complete.

think I saw somewhere (maybe on the marple community hub group on facebook?) that it's changing branding to something else - can't recall exactly what but I think there's already another shop with the same  branding in Marple
