There are a few, but Memorial Park is one of Stockport's best-kept local facilities, thanks to the wonderful "Friends of Memorial Park" team. Near to Rose Hill there is a small park at Cromwell Avenue which is looked after by the good people of @CromwellAvenuePark

Welcome to Marple!

Hi all

I'm moving to Marple soon with my girlfriend and our 1 year old daughter. We're new to Marple but thought we new the area well. Then I realised I didn't know any parks! Are there are parks with playgrounds (swings, slides, etc) in Marple? Particularly around Rose Hill station?

Many thanks
Paul

Hello Paul

Welcome to Marple and what people have said is absolutely correct. Near to Rose Hill there is also Cromwell Avenue Park which is a lovely little area with swings and other playthings.

Kind regards

There’s this one on the estate near to Marple Hall School.

I don’t know what play equipment there is but I’m sure someone will be able to tell you.
As Barbara says, the Memorial Park, in the centre of Marple, is excellent. The library is up there too.
I’m sure you’ll find Marple a very friendly place to live.
Welcome.
