Traffic disruption 16-6-18 due to Marple Carnival Parade

Please note that there will be traffic disruption in the centre of Marple on 16th June 2018 due to the annual Marple Carnival Parade.

Oldknow Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 11.30 am to 3.00 p.m. and Arkwright Road and Strines Road will have restricted traffic flow.

Stockport Road, Hollins Lane, Church Lane, Union Road, Hibbert Lane, Buxton Lane and Cross Lane will be closed to all vehicular traffic in phases from 1.00 p.m. as the parade proceeds.

Marshals will be on duty to close all minor roads that join the ones mentioned above and will assist the emergency services, if needed.

To ensure the safety of the parade entrants, please stop and wait patiently for the parade to pass.
