Marple Book Fair is returning in August 2017!

The events range from author readings and poetry nights to themed food and drink events - all in the name of the written word.

Here's the current schedule of events below.

August 14th - Books & Beer @ Beer Traders | 7pm - 10pm
A beer pairing event with a literary twist. Amazing beers that will only enhance your enjoyment of classic books; all chosen by the experts at Beer Traders. Enjoy a range of beers whilst sampling a passage or two from some famous literature.

August 15th - Bookish Crafts @ Cloudberry Cafe | 5pm - 7pm
Join Karen and the Cloudberry Cafe team for one of their excellent crafting sessions - this time themed around books. More details to follow.

August 16th - Poetry Evening @ The Samuel Oldknow | 7pm - 10pm
An array of local poets will entertain you with their excellent way with words in the wonderful, homely surroundings of The Samuel Oldknow.

August 17th - Mad Hatter's Tea Party @ All Things Nice | 6pm - 9:30pm
Suitable whimsical lovely delicacies, both savoury and sweet, which will send your senses wild! Starting with delightful savoury bites, incorporating classic afternoon tea with a twist. Followed by fanciful desserts and, of course, a pot of tea.
Available from £25 per person.
1st sitting - 6-7:30pm
2nd sitting - 8-9:30pm

August 18th - Children's Book Reading @ Marple Library | 11am - 1pm
Bring your children and listen as Lucy Keeling - Author (Robots Don't Say Please...) and Nicola Hulme - Author (Portia the Pear) will be reading from their brand new books.

August 19th - Book Sale @ Senior Citizens Hall | 9am - 12pm
