I am opposite Royal Oak and had BT infinity. However this summer went to Virgin because I was completely fed up with constant cut offs from BT in bad weather. Though these were reducing I still felt it not good enough service plus I found the company very poor at other aspects of customer service. Have now been with Virign c 4 months and have not had a single problem with the broadband connection.

We have it.  We are just off Longhurst Lane between the Royal Oak pub and the new houses built on the former mill site.

Am on Virgin Media in Marple Bridge, speeds faster than BT Infinity, so their product/pricing might be worth a look too.
