Grow Your Tenner for Marple Skatepark is off to a fabulous start!

Yesterday we had 5 one-off donations totalling £70, which have attracted £50 of match-funding and £10 of Gift-Aid. After fees this should become £125.28, which is worth £250.56 to the project thanks to council match-funding too.

We've also had 8 wonderful people set up £10 direct debits. Over the next 3 months the £80 donated each month will attract £80 of match-funding and £17.50 of Gift-Aid from Local Giving. After fees this will give us a monthly income of £171.79, which over the 3 months will become £515.37, which in turn is worth £1,030.74 to the project thanks to the council match.

So £310 worth of donations will be worth £1,281.30 to the Skatepark Project. That's a little over QUADRUPLE the money donated.

I've included the detailed calcs above to show you what amazing value your donations can have through this scheme.

Key Facts
Start date and time: 10am on Tuesday 18th October 2016. Please note that donations made before 10am will not be matched.

End date and time: 5pm on Thursday the 17th November 2016 or when the match fund runs out (whichever comes first).

Matching conditions: One-time donations made to a charity via Localgiving during the campaign will be matched pound-for-pound by up to £10. Monthly Direct Debit donations set up to a charity on Localgiving during the campaign will be matched by up to £10 a month for the first 3 months. After the 3 month matching period Direct Debit donations will continue, but will no longer be matched. It is the responsibility of the donor to cancel their Direct Debit donation should they wish to do so.

Donations that will not be matched: Donations outside of the supporter and charity limits detailed below will not be matched through this campaign. Please note that we cannot guarantee the length of the campaign and donations will only be matched whilst match funding is available.

Supporter limits: Each supporter may claim up to £10 of match funding via one-time donations per charity they choose to support. This can be via one donation of £10 or more, or several smaller donations that add up to £10 in total. In addition, each supporter may set up one Direct Debit donation to each charity they wish to support through the campaign. No more than one Direct Debit may be set up per individual to each charity. Every supporter may support as many charities as they wish via both one-time and monthly donations and have their donation(s) matched in accordance with these conditions whilst match funding is available. Please see our FAQs for more information.

Charity limits: Each charity may receive up to a maximum of £2,500 of match funding through the campaign: £1,000 from one-time donations and £1,500 from Direct Debit donations matched for 3 months. Donations to the charity will be matched until the limit is hit, the match fund has run out or the campaign has closed.

During the 2015 Grow Your Tenner Campaign £450 worth of donations turned into £1,950 for the Skatepark Project.

You can now help us whittle-down even further the sum of £6,847, which is all we need to reach our £100,000 target!

On 18th October the "Grow Your Tenner 2016" scheme is launched giving us the opportunity to quadruple donations of up to £10 per month for 3 months again.

This means that each direct debit donation of £10 could turn into more than £40 for Marple Skatepark.

Sounds too good to be true? Here's how it will work:

Local Giving's "Grow Your Tenner 2016" launches on 18th October at 10am.

From Tuesday the 18th October at 10am, Local Giving will be matching monthly Direct Debit donations of upto £10 per month for 3 months. As active members of Localgiving Friends of the Park are eligible to receive up to a maximum of £1,500 of match funding in the campaign that will run across the whole of the UK.

With Gift Aid, a Direct Debit donation of £10 made through Localgiving.com during Grow Your Tenner will generate £21.67. With our £ for £ match-funding agreement with Stockport Council, who are matching all money raised for the Skatepark Project up to £50,000, that £21.67 will be worth an amazing £43.34 to the Project!

£30 in 3 payments of £10 over 3 months will become more than £130!!

After the 3 matched monthly payments have been made you have the option to cancel the Direct Debit, or allow it to continue. After the 3 payments it will no longer be matched by Local Giving, but it will still be matched by Stockport Council's £1 for £1 agreement until we reach our £100,000 target.
