I agree, they were not manned when i went passed a couple of times yesterday. But it does say peak times and I would anticipate this means morning rush hour and evening rush hour.

These works require the use of temporary traffic signals which will now be staffed at peak times.

Not so sure about this, midday today the queue in the Stockport direction stretched back to the Co-op garage but there was little or no queue heading to Marple. If the lights are being "staffed" they need to do a better job.

Not sure gas leaks are planned. The Contractors working on behalf of National Grid Gas are currently undertaking emergency gas escape works on Stockport Road, Marple, between the junctions with Hilltop Drive and Dan Bank.  These works require the use of temporary traffic signals which will now be staffed at peak times.  The works have been in place since the weekend and the latest report from National Grid Gas states they are still investigating the exact location of the leak so are unable to give an estimate of the duration of the works at this time.

The Dan Bank works were only on the pavement. The closed lane was only so they could park their van and sit in it doing nothing, probably on double time. Queues all weekend in both directions for a hole in a pavement. Photo shows Stockport Road at the Spar at approx. 3pm Sunday.

Only in Stockport !
