Hi
@CllrGeoffAbell,
In response to your query in the title of this thread, asked on Twitter (but 140 characters is not enough).
With the incident of broken glass on the Middlewood Way, the response was not very good. It was reported on Monday, I received an email acknowledging receipt with a link to be able to check the status of the Case Report immediately. The broken glass and other rubbish was not removed until Friday morning and that was after a lot of extra effort from
@CllrKennyBlair , which shouldn't really have been necessary. Furthermore, the link to the Case Reference currently shows the following status if I click the link now:
Case Reference 102270220
Enquiry Type: Broken glass
Location: Throstle Grove, Marple, Stockport
Current Status: Report received
This status is the same as it was on Monday night (10 days ago). If things were joined up then by now it should say that the current status is completed surely? So the implication to me is that the system is not working properly, although to be fair this is the only data I have and it could be an isolated incident.
The second report sent yesterday about fly tipping on the Middlewood Way shows the same status but as Cllr Blair contacted officers about it immediately the response time is not likely to be representative of a normal report. It will be interesting to see if the Case Status is updated when the rubbish is cleared, or if it remains out of date like the Broken Glass one.
Incidentally, I've passed on a secondhand eye witness report to Cllr Blair about a distinctive van and trailer that were seen heading down Wood Lane at around 3pm yesterday. I won't repeat the details here as I didn't see it myself but I hope that it may help with investigations to identify the culprits.
