Its Volunteers week 1-7 June 2015.
I am about to start a role which will include trying to offer some support to volunteers, local groups and activities that help the community flourish. I work with Adult social care so I'm really interested in any groups or people to are able to offer opportunities to older people, people living with disability , carers, people with mental wellbeing issues and so on.
But mainly I have posted on here to express enormous gratitude to all the people who have given so much , for free over the years.The more people I meet , the more amazed I am at the level of compassion and number of kind hearts in the local area. Even if you don't feel you are a 'formal' volunteer if you give some of your precious time for the sake of others - you deserve respect and thanks.
