Many thanks to everyone who voted for Ludworth Primary School's bid for £1000 towards a greenhouse and other items for their after school gardening club. They were successful. Thanks also to Aviva Insurance for their generosity.

Surely you have 1k in the schools PTA coffers?
Does it matter? If they can get a grand good luck to them!

Voters do not have to be Aviva customers or anyone linked to the school. Anyone from anywhere can vote. Everyone who registers Is allocated 10 votes to use for the causes they wish to support. Please let family and friends know about this bid and ask them to pass on the link to anyone they know as well so that it spreads. This is a national vote so it is first past the post with the proposals with the greatest number of votes succeeding.

I've voted too, everyone should take a couple of minutes to register and support one of our local schools:

Please go online and help Ludworth Primary school's bid to seek funds for their children's gardening club. The school has a thriving band of young gardeners who have placed a bid for £1000 worth of funds from the Aviva Community Fund Competition. The school's bid is one of many that have been entered nationwide. Voting starts today, 1st May 2015 for one month. If the school obtains enough votes supporting their plans for the use of the money, it will be awarded the funds. The school would like to buy a sturdy large greenhouse to replace their damaged polytunnel and also other items of gardening equipment. Food grown helps to educate the children about nature and the environment and is used in the school's kitchen for lunches. Please go online to see their bid and vote at the address below:
