Well I hardly think that the poll on this website is representative. If you look at the results for the Hazel Grove constituency last time around (details at the BBC Election website) then you find:

Liberal Democrat 52.0%
Conservative 30.1%
Labour 16.2%
Others 1.7%

I reckon there is no way that anyone other than the Lib Dems will win here.

It seems to me, that if the poll was to be representaive of the whole of the constituancy, then Mr Stunnell would have cause for concern. A few votes for Labour and "others" could just cause that swing which would bring the " Tories" back in.

I've done a few tests of the poll voting system and it would appear that you only get one chance to vote. When you first view the poll you are given the option to vote, or view the results (null vote) - see the screen shot below:



It seems that if you click the second button to view the results it sets a flag against your name to say that you've voted, however, your vote was "null". The only way to view the results is to either vote or forego your option to vote by submitting a null vote.

Although this isn't quite what I expected I think it probably makes sense. It means you can't see the poll results until you have voted or decided not to. I guess it would be helpful if this was explained near the buttons but I don't think this is something I will be able to edit within the forum software.

Same here Adrian - the results table claims I've voted but I haven't.  I think this is how they do it in places like North Korea - you don't have to go out and vote - some kind person takes care of it for you................    '>

Just a little point !!
Whilst browsing the forum I came across the local election "poll"-according to the rider on the poll results I've already voted ??
Well I have'nt at all - so the rider is a bit odd (unless someone in my household voted for me, I must ask them)
Are other people getting the same message, and they have'nt voted either?
Not a big issue at all, but just a point (a very small trivial point)

Certainly not as great as the demise of Glengarth, disgraceful for all involved, would be helpful IF someone could put some meat on the bone and tell us in detail how the resource will be replaced- Good luck to all users of Glengarth and it's supporters.
