An excellent day, well done to Marple Business Forum for taking over the organisation of this great event.

Friends of the Park raised £660 towards the Skatepark Project and our web site has been updated with the details of how the project is going:

What an excellent day - the whole town was buzzing and everybody was smiling.  Well done to all the participants!  Oh yes, and my bacon butty was lovely too.

Just walked through the precinct to get morning paper - looks like the Food Festival will be an excellent day! Lots of very professionally presented stalls, nice to see a stand with barrels of ale which will be visited later. Was severely tempted to get a sausage sandwich to replace my breakfast all-bran, but managed to resist. Hope all involved have a great day.

Food & Drink Festival Sat 19th September 10am-4pm

Now organised by the Business Forum, this popular family event is now in its 9th year.

There will be over 30 stalls offering more local artisan products than ever before, cooking demonstrations with local chefs and a new mini bake off competition organised by Marple's WI. Entry forms available from Stationery Supplies.

Come along and sample English, Spanish, Italian & Indian cuisine along with fine wine and beers, whilst listening to the buskers from Music In Hospitals.

Marple Cricket & Squash Club's Real Ale Festival is back as part of the Marple Food and Drink Festival 2015

This year's event is FREE ENTRY

* over 20 real ales from local brewers
* A selection of fabulous ciders
* Fabulous German beer
* Plus fantastic Prosecco Bar

Opening times for the event will be as follows:-

    Friday 18th Sept - 18:00 til Late
    Saturday19th Sept - 12:00 til Late
    Sunday 20th Sept - 12:00 til 19.00

This year we will also be holding a family fun day on Sunday including

* Inflatable assault course
* 6 a side cricket competition along
* All the football action live
* Plus a fabulous hog roast

We look forward to seeing you all at Marple Cricket and Squash Club.
