The new signs are fantastic, brings a lump to my throat, would look good later in the year if we could get poppies growing around them.

Earlier this week we installed the second WWI silhouette at the top end of Marple Memorial Park. Thanks to everyone who helped with a great project.

Very appropriate and a lovely setting with the crocuses. Will there be other flowers planted to take over after the crocuses are over?

Having now come up for air following our skatepark grant application and planning submission I'm pleased to add some brilliant photos of the new WWI sign in the park taken by Arthur around a week ago. Aren't they fantastic! Wonky dog bin has to go though!

Delighted to get our new WWI Silhouette Artwork sign installed in the park today.

Will do a full update on the Friends of the Park site over the next few days but just want to say how pleased I am with it!

A very big thank you to Terry Wood, Terry's nephew Gary, Alan Burton, who was inspired by our idea and in-turn inspired David Birch, MD of Advanced Engineering Techniques in Sheffield to provide the laser-cutting and manufacturing free of charge. Thanks to Steve Abbott for helping to get permission to use the artwork and John Connors, Bernard Kelly, Patrick O'Herlihy and Rob in the park for held with the preparation and installation.

Only one more to do at the other end of the park now, because this is one of two made for us by AET!
