I did experience a strange occurrence with this bus. I don't really believe in ghosts but it really shook me up at the time. I only learned of the haunting many years later

The accident happened in Reddish in 1955. Afterwards, crews refused to take the bus out, and it stood unused in Charles Street garage for years before moving, eventually, to the Transport Museum. It's still there….

There is a haunted Stockport double deck bus in the Manchester Museum of Transport….

It was involved in a fatal pedestrian incident in the town many years ago.

People still don't want to spend time in the bus even now. It has given people an odd feeling of unease even without knowing the history.

Visitors have said that they have seen….well, never mind what they have said.

No more then? Thought an old town like Marple might have a few more creepy stories.
A headless King haunting Marple Hall School?   ;)

Stonehurst flats on Buxton Lane,
Stand across the road on Hibbert Lane and it has been known for a little girl to wave from the upstairs window.
Flats occupied by old people.
I know it could be someone grand daughter but gives me the creeps.
"Maria: Ghost of Stonehurst", 1976, Kitty Thorp. (IIRC the Thorps were the last private owners of Stonehurst.) There's a copy on that site named after a S.American river if you have £75 that you want to get rid of.

Fanciful nonsense.

I'm just wondering, are there any peculiar ghost stories knocking around about Marple?
